You ask, we answer
Any farmer residing and cultivating land within the designated registration zones of the Yavatmal district is eligible. The land records (7/12 Utara) must accurately reflect the cultivation of the specific crop (Soybean, Chickpea, or Pigeon Pea) you wish to sell.
To ensure a smooth process and direct payment, you need to provide:
7/12 Utara (Land Information Document) digitally signed and updated for the current season.
Aadhaar Card (linked to your mobile number).
Bank Passbook or Cancelled Cheque (the bank account must be linked to your Aadhaar for Direct Benefit Transfer).
Crop Cultivation Certificate (Pik Peras) issued by the local Talathi or updated via the e-Pik Pahani app.
Once your registration and documents are verified on the government portal, you will receive an official SMS alert on your registered mobile number. This message will specify your allocated date, time, and token number. Please do not bring your produce to the centre before receiving this SMS.
The government sets strict Fair Average Quality (FAQ) parameters to ensure crop health. Your produce will be checked for:
Moisture Content: Must be within the government-prescribed limit (usually below 12% for soybeans and pulses).
Foreign Matter: Minimal presence of dust, stones, or pieces of straw.
Damaged/Weevil-led Grains: Percentage of broken or insect-damaged seeds must be under the allowable limit.
Tip: Clean and dry your crops thoroughly at home before bringing them to the centre to avoid rejection or delays.
Payments are made directly by the government via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the bank account you submitted during registration. It typically takes between 7 to 14 working days after successful weighing and approval at the centre for the funds to reflect in your account.
No. Registration and crop assessment at the authorized NAFED MSP centre are completely free of cost. Farmers should not pay any unauthorized fees or commissions to anyone at the center.
