Dr. Kapil Shivajirao Ingale
Dr. Kapil Shivajirao Ingle is a highly accomplished agricultural scientist, agronomist, researcher, and agribusiness leader with more than two decades of professional experience in agriculture, rural development, agricultural extension, and farmer-centric entrepreneurship. As the Chief Executive Officer of Vidarbha Farms Agro Producer Company Ltd., Umerkhed, he is spearheading initiatives that empower farmers through technology-driven agriculture, quality input supply, nursery development, seed production, value addition, market linkages, and sustainable agribusiness models.
Dr. Kapil Ingle holds a Ph.D. in Agronomy and has dedicated his career to bridging the gap between agricultural research and practical farming solutions. Before joining Vidarbha Farms, he served for fourteen years as Scientist (Agronomy) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Sagroli, Nanded, where he played a key role in technology assessment, frontline demonstrations, farmer training, soil health management, climate-resilient agriculture, and promotion of innovative farming practices. His work has directly benefited thousands of farmers through capacity-building programs, field demonstrations, and technology dissemination activities across Maharashtra.
Throughout his professional journey, Dr.Kapil Ingle has successfully established and managed several agricultural development initiatives, including soil and water testing laboratories, mobile soil testing services, seed processing units, aromatic oil extraction facilities, agro-input production units, nurseries, and farmer service centers. He has also guided numerous Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and promoted entrepreneurship in agriculture through sustainable business models and value-chain development.
An active researcher and extension communicator, Dr. Kapil Ingle has published scientific papers, technical bulletins, extension literature, book chapters, and numerous articles in agricultural publications. He has delivered expert talks on television, radio, and various national and regional platforms, sharing practical solutions for enhancing farm productivity and profitability. His areas of expertise include agronomy, soil health management, sustainable and regenerative agriculture, natural farming, aromatic and medicinal crops, precision agriculture, climate-smart agriculture, and farmer producer organization development.
